5 Tips for finding Your Calling!

I came across this Elephant Journal article shortly after it was published in March 2016 and shared it — back when I was still active on Facebook but no more now. Although I keep my FB account just for to keep in touch with family and friends far away. Of course, the once a month I check my FB account, I’m reminded of some “Memories” — have to admit that FB does a good job at that, for better or worse LOL! Anyways, I’m digressing, as that’d be for another post.

So, this FB memory popped up to my attention. I thought WOW, time flew by but now even more so as we are deep in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic and so many of us all are confronted with figuring out what our new ‘normal’ is shaping up to be over the next few months….

A survey by CareerBuilder found a whopping 78% of U.S. workers said they were living paycheck to paycheck. And other studies show that roughly one-quarter of Americans have no emergency savings at all; another one-quarter have less than the recommended minimum 3 months’ living expenses. And Reality coudn’t have hit harder than nowadays as businesses and individuals alike struggle with the unknowns.

As disheartening as it is to see the political drama going on… on the flip side, there are so many other individuals, organizations, celebrities, etc. who are lending their voice and a helping hand to those in need. We all can do our part and feel ‘useful’ by helping in any capacity we can. Even a smile (with your eyes, since in LA we have to wear face masks) to that stranger at the grocery store while we keep our 6-feet apart social distancing, helps.

Just remember that…. STAYING POSITIVE DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME. IT MEANS THAT EVEN ON HARD DAYS, YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE BETTER ONES COMING.

As we navigate more weeks and even months to come under stay-at-home order and social/physical distancing… awaiting a vaccine so our society can get back to LIFE.

STAY HOME | STAY SAFE | STAY HEALTHY | STAY SANE

Use this gift of time that we’ve been “unexpectedly” given as we slow down and take each day by day. Maybe finally get around to checking out that to-do list accumulating dust in the corner of your desk. Or do some Spring cleaning. Or try out new recipes and cook up a storm in your kitchen — that’s what I’ve been doing mostly as therapy cooking and getting creative with my pantry and fridge stock at hand! Or without the constant busy-ness and distractions of pre-pandemic times (can’t even remember how it was 5 weeks in lockdown…), take a pause, meditate, listen to your heart and truly FEEL how do you want to pursue your true passion in LIFE!

Check out this article, it hits the nail on the head:

Answering the first 2 questions honestly led me up to where I am today:

  1. Ask yourself WHAT you loved to do as a CHILD.
  2. What do you LOVE to do NOW?

QUICK! Grab a pen and make a list of 50 things you love.

Comment and share your list — I would love to hear from you!

  1. Having read this I thought it was really informative.
I appreciate you spending some time and effort to put this
content together. I once again find myself spending way too
much time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth
    it!
